Massachusetts: Sudbury: Assabet River NWR Map

The Assabet River National Wildlife refuge is one of 8 NWR in Eastern Massachusetts. It is relatively new, having been transferred from the DOD to the Fish & Wildlife Service in 2000. Prior to this date, portions of the property were remediated, having once been the Sudbury Training Annex for Fort Devens. The western portion of the property is still closed to the public. The Sudbury State Forest is located between two portions of the ARNWR, and the ARNWR is adjacent to the Memorial Forest in Sudbury and other conservation land in the area.

This KMZ map is set to Draw Order 25 so it will show 'beneath' your primary map (and beneath my Memorial Forest KMZ map, beneath my Red Acre KMZ map, beneath my Gardner Hill KMZ map, and beneath my Pine Bluffs KMZ map) on your Garmin KMZ-compatible GPS. 

The images below are all from a Garmin GPSMAP 78sc. The images on the left and in the center are with no other maps displayed. The image on the right in has the Garmin 24K NE series TOPO map displayed.

Once you have downloaded and unzipped the KMZ file, you can:

1) Display it on your Garmin GPS receiver by placing the file in the &392;GarminCustomMaps folder on your supported Garmin GPS receiver. For a list of supported devices, click here. 

2) Display it in Google Earth by opening the file (FILE, OPEN).
