Location Information

Windsor State Forest is best known for the beautiful Windsor Jambs waterfall and the swimming and camping area along the Westfield River. Trails at Windsor State Forest connect with trails at Notchview.

Note: The facility is unstaffed for the summer of 2013 - no swimming, no camping. Info at: http://www.mass.gov/eea/docs/dcr/parks/notices/windsor.pdf

<not possible>

Google Maps does not support rotated KMZ files, and to get this map to properly align to the world, I needed to rotate the map to make the KMZ file. So, unlike some other of my KMZ maps, this one cannot be displayed in Google Maps.

Screenshots

This KMZ map is set to Draw Order 40 so it will show 'beneath' your primary map on your Garmin KMZ-compatible GPS. It will also show above my KMZ map of Notchview if you have both of them loaded on your GPSr. Loading both KMZ maps will provide you with a seamless trail map of both properties on your GPSr.

Note that due to the wide coverage area of this map, it is actually 4 tiles. Keep that in mind when placing this on your Garmin GPSr - even though this is one KMZ, the number of tiles is limited to 100 across all the KMZ files loaded on your GPS (or 500 tiles if you have a Garmin Montana).

The images below are all from a Garmin GPSMAP 78sc. The image on the left is with no other maps displayed. The image on the right has the Garmin 24K NE series TOPO maps displayed.
